This video mentioned about offerings. I used to have the
thoughts that an offering is to seek for blessings. I never thought of
the 7 Dharma questions of offerings. These 7 Dharma questions really
check our sincerity. Whenever I do an offering, I’ll now think of how
best I can make the offering and the benefit of it that’ll bring happiness to
others.
For eg, during the previous Wesak Day celebration, I volunteered
to encourage people offer flowers to Buddha. The bouquet of flowers was
arranged following the Dharma flag colours We can explain by offering
flowers, they are also reminded the Dharma values. I find it more
meaningful in volunteering and when I do offerings to Buddha or others with the
Dharma values in mind.
